G.I.F.T. We are all Growing In Faith Together!

GIFT Meeting - Please join us on Sept. 2 at 7PM for a planning meeting. July meeting had a great turnout and inspired participation. Please come back! Everyone is welcome.

Youth and Household Director Position - Marilyn H., Joe Domko, Greg Hargis, Maryann A. met on 8/3 to refine a job description. We have been considering guidance provided from the Rocky Mountain Synod on youth/household ministry. The model suggested actively involves lay people with the director providing leadership. We have benefited from having a couple to share the job, in effect allowing the youth director to be two places at once but this isn’t a realistic model. We plan to remove confirmation and Sunday school from the youth director’s job description and have been fortunate to have members ready to teach. Please let us know if you feel you have a calling in these areas. We will need additional lay involvement and all are welcome to take this opportunity to share the faith.

Adult Education - We have some interesting possibilities for Fall. Watch for bulletin announcements. If you have interests or suggestions, please contact Marilyn Morrissey.

Monday Morning Book Club - first Monday of each month at 9:30 am in the library.

These books are in the library. Please put your name on the card in the back of the book, place it in the box on the shelf. Return the book as soon as possible so others can read it. Plan to join us for fellowship and discussion.

Porcupines Small Group - Porcupines Small Groups are preparing for a launch within the next few weeks. Please complete the survey printed in the Tidings or on the table in the Narthex and return to the basket on the Hospitality desk by September 12 or email to trinitylutheranfc@comcast.net. Your comments and feedback are important and appreciated

Young Adults at Trinity - Formerly known as “20 Somethings,” a young adult group has been meeting Wednesdays at 6:15 for BBQ. Side dishes are provided. Please bring something to grill.

Sunday School - Watch for Faith Village registration. Forms will be sent by email in addition to opportunities to register your child at church on August 29 and September 5. Rally Sunday will be September 12. Are you interested in helping us prepare for Rally Sunday or perhaps assisting in the Sunday School classrooms? We would love to have you. Confirmation Camp at Sky Ranch - Confirmation students have been contacted for registration for Coyote Howl confirmation camp. Please contact Stephanie Dugger if you have questions.
