Text Box: Text Box: Equal Exchange Coffee News

A new coffee order has arrived. This includes Organic Decaf, the first whole-bean decaf coffee we've had in a long time: A balanced blend of light and dark roasts, full-bodied with a rich flavor. This is Organic Breakfast Blend, but naturally decaffeinated, from small farmer co-ops in Latin America. A drip-grind coffee we haven't offered for awhile is Cafe Salvador, a full-bodied and smooth coffee grown by small farmer co-operatives in El Salvador. This has the distinction of the lowest price of all the products ($5.15/12 oz. bag). We're
replenishing stocks of Sister's Blend (drip-grind), Tanzanian Jubilee (drip-grind), and Organic Ethiopian (whole bean). Try the last as Turkish Coffee, if you have the nerves. Keep in mind that modern medical science has shown that coffee is a health food, or at least, it's not all that bad for you.

For more information, browse your way through www.lwrcoffee.com . I welcome
suggestions for future offerings, in person
or in kiosk #52. -Jim Frye

Text Box: Friends of Mwangaza Thanks!

November 9, 2009

Dear Trinity Lutheran Church Members,
Thank you for your wonderful gift of $940.00 to Friends of Mwangaza!

Mary Jo mentioned mini-books, Nurturing Community Health, and partnerships in her letter.  I think of Mwangaza in three ways: Mwangaza as the place, Mwangaza as the staff and participants, and Mwangaza as
programs.  In all areas, this year seems to be one of expanding mission.

Shoonie will spend March and April at
Mwangaza as staff continues to implement and plan outreach to schools, congregations, and women.  She says, "Midst economic distress world-side, Mwangaza continues to engage participants in educational programs that are relevant to their lives.  What a privilege!"

At this time of Thanksgiving we are very grateful for your help in all the aspects of Mwangaza.

Sincerely,
Linda Milton, Treasurer
